There is still the question "What do you want?" waiting to be answered.
I know it is hard, as over the years things have either never been started, or have only lasted a small time. There has always been problems with the building ever since we lost the old Fishersgate Community Hall, and the new building has never been completed.
Lack of interest has also played a part. It is so disheatening for those who organise to recieve lots of postive feedback with regards a certain a need, then when they have found the funding, put everything in place, nobody turns up! Is this because people who wanted whatever it was at the time want in NOW, and cant see that funding has to be found AFTER the need is known. The funders want proof something is needed before they will consider the application, and then take several months to decide yea or nay. By this time I am sure people think they have been let down, yet again.
It would be a silly person who would promise that your idea may come to fruition. We are all at the mercy of the great power of money, without which nothing happens. (And we cannot expect to charge a rate to users that would cover all costs.) But, having said that, there is no harm in you bringing your idea to the attention of the rest of the community. No-one would expect you to fill out funding applications, there are others to do that.
